Carl Sagan- My Art Final

This took 9 hours. I used 4h, 2h, h, hb, b, 2b. Compressed Charcoal, 4b, white out, white charcoal. Photographed because the whole drawing is 20" by 16".

I put it up because Earl said so....

The results of my art final. I stayed up through the night for 26 hours straight. I never want to do that again, but this might be my best work to date, so I suppose it was worth it.

Carl Sagan in the foreground near a candle (obvious reasons... a little book I quote in my signature). Voyager behind him, missing a whole appendage (I didn't draw it because it would have gone through his head). The comet above is supposed to look like Haley's but a lot of comets probably look the same.

The results of my love of Carl Sagan, astronomy, and drawing. Dedicated to the showman of science, a true candle in the dark. Voyage the darkness ahead of us, Carl. May the future be free of Demons.
