Okay, I know that this is an unrelated comment, but I just watched-- not even kidding, like, two minutes ago-- a Star Trek where Mister Spock had to wear special goggles when looking at this alien ambassador or else he would go crazy. So that's what the goggles made me think of, even if it's totally unrelated.
